ODYSSÉE

Maurie & Eve have done amazing things this season with their Odyssée Collection, including this midi skirt, constructed in the softest leather like fabric complete with beautiful pleats. A midi with a thigh high split for me is the perfect balance, it’s elegant and refined, with a little cheeky leg exposure on the side, which also makes it the ultimate day to night piece to add to your wardrobe.

EDIT: FLAT SANDALS

For me black flats are without doubt a must have for every season, black sandals (of the flat variety) are always my go-to for Summer footwear, particularly for those days where for the most part I’m on my feet. This edit caters for all budgets whether you want to save or splurge, however all are what I consider to be classic investment pieces, with a slight twist, whether it’s interesting hardware details or high gloss patent, these will see you through more than just one season.

KINGS & QUEENS

When it comes to wardrobe essentials, these days for me I can’t go past a crisp white shirt, they have the ability to completely turn an outfit around looking one part effortless, and one part sharp and chic, think Alexander Wang & Preen for SS14. This sleeveless version by Josh Goot was a must when packing for overseas, saving me on a number of occasions, especially on those days where it went from trekking around Paris and it’s surrounds, to dinner and drinks out, with no time for an outfit change.
We shot this look at one of my favourite places in France, the Palace of Versailles, I first experienced Versailles a few years ago on my first trip to Paris, and fell completely in love. Needless to say it was high on my priorities to return and shoot amidst the grounds.

THE MONOCHROME SET

It’s editorials like this that make me have a love-hate relationship with Winter, having just come back from Europe where they are prepping for the big freeze, it’s safe to say I would be profoundly more happy to spend my Winters over there when they know how to a) make it look so damn good, and b) create the most luxurious, cosy layers I have ever laid eyes on, they sure do Winter well.
