You had me at high splits and exposed back, albeit perfectly balanced with a high neckline and knee length skirt. Mieke Stein’s collection is the perfect blend of modern tailoring with a masculine vs feminine edge.

The thing that excites me most about this industry is that the talent of local designers seems to get better year to year, and a little niche that wasn’t occupied comes to life with someones creative vision. Vale are transforming denim and wardrobe staples into lust have items that fill a gap in your wardrobe that you will never know even existed.

When accepting any challenge it goes without saying, stay true to yourself and believe in what you do. So when I was asked to take part in the Staple style challenge, I made sure to stay true to my style rules for Winter; opt out of black and embrace head to toe tonal dressing, knits aren’t just for the top half and lastly the controversial, socks go with everything.. trust me on this one, a heel with a sock becomes a whole different shoe, and can transform the look to something like a little bootie, plus it means no more cold feet in the depths of Winter, an those favourite sandals suddenly translate to outfits all year round.
