THE MOVERS & SHAKERS

chistmasList_shop local

Those of you who follow the lovely & talented Jasmine Dowling will know that she has started somewhat of a movement on social media this festive season, to support local business and designers. Jasmine put the call out to some of her fellow Blogger buddies (myself included) to join in and create our own Christmas shopping lists highlighting local business. As a blogger I am lucky enough to experience some of these up and coming businesses first hand, and I am always 100% behind anyone who takes the risk to start up there own business. My list could be twice as long, but being the minimalist that I am, I have compiled a short but sweet list of things for both you + the home. Enjoy x

EDIT: FLAT SANDALS

For me black flats are without doubt a must have for every season, black sandals (of the flat variety) are always my go-to for Summer footwear, particularly for those days where for the most part I’m on my feet. This edit caters for all budgets whether you want to save or splurge, however all are what I consider to be classic investment pieces, with a slight twist, whether it’s interesting hardware details or high gloss patent, these will see you through more than just one season.

TONAL

I don’t tend to introduce to much colour into my wardrobe, nope you’ll never see me in any colour blocking, no matter how on trend it is. However I’ve always had an everlasting appreciation for anything in the Khaki/Olive green realm, along with a good dose of Camel every now and again, but then are they even considered colours?
Since returning from my European holiday I’m even more in love with a few more subdued hues, Winter collections in store at Iro and Isabel Marant had me lusting after the Winter which I had just been so desperate to leave, the Northern Hemisphere sure know how to do Winter right, toasty knits and layers upon layers of textures and tonal elements.
