ELLERY PRE-FALL ’14

Its pretty easily forgivable to be thinking about Winter on a 33 degree day when you’re staring at the new offering by home grown talent, Ellery. Suffice to say I’m completely smitten with this entire collection, the knee length skirts with thigh splits combine demure with modern, the exaggerated bell sleeve, clearly inspired by those incredible bell bottoms we saw in the SS14 collection, and the opposing forces of structure and drape of almost every piece plays on proportion, which we all know is Kim Ellery’s strong point.

BASICS TRAINING

Possibly one of my most loved editorials from ELLE Australia this far. Utter perfection.

BOSS

As usual Maurie & Eve have produced another killer collection for AU14 that will have everyone in a little frenzy when it hits next month. When I viewed the ‘Holy Roller’ range way back in September last year, I honestly couldn’t pick a favourite from the collection, however the fabrication of this skirt is something else, and was definitely a stand out for me along with the accompanying pant and crop top…Not long now, Holy Roller is almost here.

THE SLIP

The Slip dress has fast become the dress of the season, worn with anything from an oversized chunky knit, a pair of well loved converse or ankle boots, and you’ve got yourself some serious 90s revival a-la Courtney Love (minus the bad makeup). Slip on some heels, a blazer, or in my case your favourite Leather jacket and you’re good to go for a night out. Needless to say this slip is a staple in my wardrobe at the moment as it covers all bases.
