So it came to be the first day of Winter without me even realizing and I am still wondering how for the first time in my 10 years living in Melbourne I have made it all through Autumn with bare legs. In my effort to keep up the challenge I have with myself and to extend my wardrobe beyond just one season, I am constantly layering up top with knits, coats and scarves, over lightweight tops and sheer shirts, meaning I can still wear my favourite combos Summer or Winter.
This is the first in a series of looks I shot with Liz from Street Smith and Yenny from Studded Hearts. Its hard not to love Josh Goot, his prints and the cuts of his garments are such a standout, it’s also difficult to pick out an item that stands out as a favourite as its all just so good, still I was thrilled when Yenny picked out this dress for me to wear. Even in the bitterly cold Melbourne weather with a little rain to top it off, I still felt amazing in this Dress.

A wardrobe in my opinion can never go without a Breton Stripe, but recently I have extended my love of stripes to varying widths and on anything from a sharply tailored Blazer to a pair of classic shorts.

Shooting when your best friend is behind the lens allows for some completely candid shots, often of you (well me) loosing composure and being completely natural. And while I’m trying to pull myself together, the camera continues snapping away. In this instance it led to one of my favourite shots of the day that totally captures the moment, and a series of photos that has ended up somewhat reflecting the balance of this outfit and my personality, with a more serious side; the linear and minimalist button up shirt, against the fun loving; asymmetrical, graphic and slightly quirky skirt.
